If you’ve lost your income and don’t know how you’re going to afford food next month, don’t wait until it’s too late to get food assistance. Today I’m sharing where to get free food right now for anyone including kids and healthcare workers.

If you’re a subscriber, thanks so much for watching or listening. Be sure to like this video if this is what you want more of. If you’re not a subscriber, click the subscribe button at the bottom right corner of this video and you’ll get more videos every week helping you save money and spend smarter.

Food is essential. In my first video about how to spend your stimulus check food was number 1. But if you have other bills that need to get paid, there are more free resources for food than anything else so it’s important to take advantage of all your free options first to have money for things you can’t get for free.

And at the end, I’ve found a few freebies for our beloved healthcare workers so if you know anyone on the frontlines share this video with them so they can get their well-deserved rewards.

Free Food For Everyone:

The first place to find free food is to check food pantries, here’s how you find them.

Local Organizations

You can find your local food pantries at foodpantries.org. It’s a national database of local food pantries. You definitely want to check this website out first because these food banks will be closer to you and have more relevant resources in your community.

Feeding America

Feeding America has over 200 food banks across the U.S.

They’re currently offering pre-packaged boxes of fresh produce and other perishable items directly to neighborhoods in need. Pick up a box of food, free of charge.

Their cafes are serving free healthy hot to-go meals and bagged meals for kids.

Free Food For Kids:

Many school districts are still providing free grab and go lunches to kids, check with your local newspaper or search online to see where the closest drive-thru meal station is to you.

The rest are deals that national chain restaurants are offering. These are deals that are completely free through at least April with no purchase necessary.

Joella’s Hot Chicken

Joella’s is providing free meals to kids 10 and under on weekdays from 11am-5pm with no purchase necessary.

B.GOOD

Kids eat free every Tuesday and Thursday with no purchase necessary.

McDonald’s

Select McDonalds are giving free meals to kids, check your local restaurant for up to date information.

For Healthcare Workers:

These angels deserve all good things.

&pizza

All health care workers and hospital staff get a free pizza with a valid hospital ID or texting 200-03 #HERO for free delivery.

Starbucks

Starbucks has announced that “any customer who identifies as a first responder or frontline worker supporting our healthcare system” can get a free hot or cold tall brewed coffee on each visit through May 3rd.

White Castle

Healthcare workers can get a free White Castle combo meal (1-6 or a breakfast combo) once a day through April. All you have to do is show your ID.

Those aren’t all the ways to get free food but I think they are the most ethical and available to the widest audience.

Don’t forget to subscribe to Modern Frugality on YouTube to get as much helpful information I am physically able to provide. I’ll be doing a few videos a week for the next few months and I’d love to help you if you have any topics you want me to cover.
